About winery
Grandfather Petar began planting the first grapevines in the 1940s, after returning from Argentina to take over the land to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. His first wife couldn’t bear children, so she advised him to find one who could. Eventually, Petar ended up living with two women and had three children. His son Stipan took over the wine production, continuing to plant grapevines and produce wine for personal use, as was customary at the time. Stipan’s son Petar, who had claimed he would never work in the vineyard, just like his father, eventually took over. He went to the Faculty of Agronomy in Zagreb and labeled the first bottles in 2015, and has been producing high-quality wines ever since.
The winery produces 20,000 liters of wine annually, with planted varieties in their own vineyard including Cabernet Sauvignon, Vranac, Plavac, Zlatarica, and Pošip. Wines are sold at the winery and distributed to restaurants, bars, and ships throughout the region, while wine tasting experiences are available at the winery itself.
