Bačić Winery

About winery

Bačić Winery is located in the picturesque Črnja Luka bay on the northwest coast of the island of Korčula. On the estate, where the family’s ancestors once built stone huts to shelter from the sun and rain during agricultural work, today stands the family house and a boutique winery with a tasting terrace and guest apartments. All employees are family members. The winery offers ten wine labels, including native varieties such as Pošip, Cetinka, Grk, Dubrovnik Malvasia, and Plavac Mali, as well as international varieties like Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. A standout is the cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Plavac Mali, named “Kampijun cuvée,” which refers to the Latin term for the wine sample traders would take during their visits to buy wine from cellars. They also produce sparkling wine from the Cetinka variety called “Pjer.” The wine is made partly from their own vineyards and partly from purchased grapes. Additionally, the production of olive oil from their centuries-old olive groves plays an important role in the family tradition. Guests can enjoy wine tastings in the fully equipped winery, offering an unforgettable experience of the flavors and traditions of Korčula.
