About winery
The Nerica Family Agricultural Cooperative from Čara on the island of Korčula is proud of its production of premium wines, with a special focus on the indigenous Pošip variety. Their Pošip Nerica is renowned as one of their most celebrated wines, while Pošip Mindel, aged in oak barrels, stands as the flagship of the cooperative. It is named after the Mindel vineyard site, recognized as the best terroir in Čara for grape cultivation. In addition to Pošip, the cooperative also produces Plavac Mali, Rukatac, and rosé, offering a total of six wine labels. With two hectares of vineyards, they produce around 20,000 bottles annually, sold in their own wine shop in the town of Korčula and on the Dubrovnik and Split markets. A notable achievement is Pošip Nerica 60, awarded a gold medal at the 2023 Decanter World Wine Awards.
