About winery
In 1997, Ranko Anđelini launched a modern wine production, building on the family’s centuries-old winemaking tradition. His grandfather, Ciril Velan, built a house and a family cellar in 1924 on Velanov Brijeg near Pazin, where wine was produced for personal use and for sale. Today, they cultivate 70,000 vines of various varieties, with a special focus on Malvasia, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Teran. They continually upgrade their production technology to make it more sustainable and environmentally friendly. The fifteen hectares of Anđelini vineyards are located within a four-kilometer radius, across three main locations: Velanov Brijeg, Lindarski Križ, and the surroundings of Gračišće. The vineyards range in elevation from 450 to 475 meters above sea level.
The Anđelini family has won two gold and one bronze Decanter medals. In addition to their wine, they are also known for beekeeping and the production of honey and other bee products.

About
Ranko Anđelini
At the Anđelini Winery, alongside the efforts of certified enologist Ranko, significant contributions come from his wife Klaudija, who manages the tastings. Their son Dominik, who is completing his Ph.D. at the Institute of Agriculture and Tourism in Poreč, is increasingly dedicating himself to the family winery with the support of his girlfriend Marta Sivec, a master’s graduate in viticulture and enology with valuable experience from the legendary Grgich Winery in California. Ranko’s brother Duško takes care of the vineyards, while Dominik’s brother Marin and sister Magdalena assist with harvesting, bottling, deliveries, and tastings whenever needed.
