Roxanich Winery

Mladen Rožanić had long dreamed of establishing his own winery and brand, Roxanich. At the beginning of this century, that dream became a reality, and the first wines from the 2005 vintage quickly began to garner numerous awards at exhibitions across Europe.

Roxanich Winery has always embraced the style of aged wines, which are released to the market only after 2-3 years of aging. Their vineyards encompass historically esteemed sites such as Mondellebotte (Barrel), Bussure, and Valle, recognized since ancient times as exceptional terroirs for winemaking. The proximity to the coast and the altitude of 200 meters allow for ideal thermal oscillation.

In 2019, in Motovun, a unique project, Roxanich Winery and Design Hotel, was opened. This glamorous seven-story structure has become one of the most valuable investments in the Istrian wine scene. The winery continues to be led by Mladen Rožanić and his six daughters, after whom the “Sorelle” (Sisters) wine line is named, emphasizing uncompromising quality. Roxanich’s cellars are located within the hill, just below the hotel, with each of its four levels dedicated to a specific aspect of the winemaking process – vinification and maceration, aging, and archiving. The grand finale is the tasting room, where one can immerse deeply into the complete world of Roxanich wine experience.
