About winery
Andrović Winery, located on the Pelješac Peninsula, proudly preserves a centuries-old winemaking tradition. Mario Andrović, the current owner, made his first wine in 2009, following the traditional method passed down from his ancestors, without the assistance of an enologist. He uses natural yeasts, and his wines are exported to the United States through Indie Wineries, whose director, impressed by the organic production, selected Andrović’s wines. The vineyards cultivate the indigenous variety Plavac Mali. Their vineyards span across three locations: “ispod kuće” (below the house) on Polustrana, in Stonsko polje, and above Napoleon’s Path on Strana. Their label features the logo of a jackal, an animal native to the peninsula and also the Andrović family’s nickname. Their annual production ranges from 6,000 to 7,000 bottles.
