About winery
Barbazza Winery, located in Smokvica on the island of Korčula, embodies a precious fusion of history and modern wine production. Established in 2000, the winery is part of the Tomašić family’s winemaking and olive-growing tradition, which spans over half a millennium. Historical documents, centuries old, bear witness to their enduring dedication to vineyards and olive groves. Today, on 1.2 hectares of vineyards, they cultivate indigenous varieties Pošip and Plavac Mali, with a total of 7,000 vines. The winery offers five wine labels, including two Pošip, two Plavac Mali, and a rosé. Annual production reaches 7,000 bottles. Wine enthusiasts are invited to enjoy unforgettable tastings in their wine cellar, where tradition meets modernity, delivering an authentic experience of the flavors and history of Korčula Island.
