About
Frane and Maja Cebalo
Branimir Cebalo, founder of the Cebalo winery, inherited his vineyard and passion for winemaking from his father. Although an electrician by profession, Branimir was a pioneer in the revival of the Grk variety in his native Lumbarda. At a time when Grk was almost forgotten, his determination and vision brought about a transformation. After five years of navigating bureaucracy, he bottled the first wine made from the Grk variety in 1991, marking a new era for this indigenous grape. Sadly, Branimir has passed away, but the winery is now run by his son Frane and his wife Maja, who are devoted to preserving the family tradition.
