About winery
Crvik Winery is located in the picturesque village of Komaji, near Dubrovnik, in the heart of Konavle, where the Crvik family has been cultivating viticulture for centuries. Wine production began in 1897, when great-grandfather Andro built the first wine cellar. The second and third generations, son Rado and grandson Andro, continued the family tradition, and in 1958, they planted a vineyard that still exists today.
In 1993, Andro Crvik, the third generation of winemakers, decided to expand production and built a modern winery, quickly gaining recognition on both the national and international wine scene. The winery has won numerous awards at prestigious competitions in Croatia and abroad, confirming the quality of its wines.
On its 6 hectares of vineyards, the Crvik family grows international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Plavac mali, but they are especially proud of the revival of indigenous varieties – Dubrovnik Malvasia and White Maraština. To meet growing demand, the winery collaborates with local cooperants from Konavle, ensuring grapes come from strictly controlled vineyards.
One of the winery’s most renowned wines is Tezoro Malvasia 2015, which won a silver medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London in 2017. Today, they offer nine labels of different varieties, including the indigenous Dubrovnik Malvasia, Plavac mali, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, which satisfy the tastes of even the most discerning wine lovers.
