About winery
Edivo Winery, located in the picturesque village of Drače on the Pelješac Peninsula, began its journey in 2011 with its first bottle of wine. What sets them apart in the world of wine is their innovation that combines tradition and natural authenticity—aging wine underwater. At the end of 2013 and the beginning of 2014, their first bottles were submerged in clay amphorae and placed at several locations around Pelješac, at depths of 18 to 25 meters, where they aged for up to 700 days. The experiment, with careful attention to preserving the quality of the wine, using glass bottles sealed with corks and layers of wax, resulted in the creation of the iconic wine Navis Mysterium – Brodska tajna. Today, their underwater winery is located on an old sunken fishing boat that has rested on the seabed for over 30 years. Bottles and amphorae of wine are stored there, protected from external influences. Each bottle from this winery is unique, a one-of-a-kind product that embodies the love, effort, and time invested in every stage of production. In addition to their amphora wines, Edivo offers four labels created from carefully selected varieties, including Plavac Mali, Pošip, Rukatac, and Chardonnay, which delight with their flavors and quality. Their wines are a symbol of Croatian identity, combining wine from Janjina, clay from Petrinja, iron from Sisak, pine wood from Varaždin, as well as glass and cork, making every detail an authentic Croatian product. For those who want to experience the full essence, Edivo Winery offers unforgettable tastings in their Edivo Wine Bar, where wine is paired with the natural beauty and story of its creation.
