About winery
Hilić Winery, a family-run estate led by Alen Hilić, is located in Kuna Pelješka on the Pelješac Peninsula. They specialize in cultivating indigenous grape varieties, with a strong focus on the prestigious red variety Plavac Mali from the renowned Dingač vineyard, one of Croatia’s most esteemed wine-growing areas. Their portfolio includes three Dingač labels, along with four additional Plavac Mali labels, including a Rosé, sourced from vineyards in Kuna and Janjina. In addition to red varieties, the winery also grows the white varieties Rukatac and Pošip, producing two labels of fresh and aromatic white wines. The Hilić vineyards span 2 hectares, with a total of 12,000 vines of Plavac Mali, Pošip, and Rukatac. Annually, the Dingač location yields approximately 2,000 liters of Plavac Mali, while other vineyard sites in Janjina and Kuna produce an additional 4,000 liters of Plavac Mali, 1,000 liters of Pošip, and 600 liters of Rukatac. Altogether, the winery offers eight wine labels on the market. For wine enthusiasts, Hilić provides a unique experience at their wine bar in Viganj, where their wines can be tasted in an authentic setting, accompanied by stories of the passion and tradition behind each bottle.
