For 150 years, the Lipanovićs have nurtured indigenous varieties and produced top-quality wines unlike any other in the world. The Lipanović family is one of the Vis island families in which winemaking is woven into their genetic code. Since the first Lipanović set foot on the island of Vis in 1589 and planted the first vine, the family has dedicatedly tended to vineyards from which the finest drops of Vis have sprung, generation after generation. Today, Lipanović Winery produces, signs, and promotes wines that are an authentic reflection of the soil and climate from which they come. The only parameter we follow is the quality of the grapes, and we will never compromise it with mass production or increased quantity. We firmly believe that unique Vis wines deserve recognition on both the domestic and global wine scene, and this can only be achieved by promoting the best that the island has to offer.
