About winery

Palihnić Winery, located on the Pelješac Peninsula, has been cultivating a tradition of living with and from the vine since the 14th century. Established as a family winery in 1996, it now includes approximately 60,000 of its own vines, collaborates with over 50 growers, and produces around 700,000 liters of wine annually, 50,000 liters of which are aged in oak barrique barrels.
Specializing in red wines made from the Plavac Mali variety, the winery produces renowned wines such as Dingač, Dingač Riserva, Postup, several variations of Plavac Mali, opolo rosé, and the dessert wine Prošper. The portfolio also includes white wines from the Rukatac and Pošip varieties. The wines have earned numerous awards, including champion titles for Dingač at the Sabatina wine competition in 2016 and 2019 and for Dingač Riserva in 2014 and 2020.
Recently, the winery expanded its offerings with the premium wine Dragon’s Blood, created specifically for the Chinese market, and increased its cellar capacities and vineyard areas. It also takes great pride in its partnership with the Hajduk football club.
