About winery
The family winery Šain-Marelić has been established since 1996, with its first harvest taking place in 1997. Initially run by the fathers, the business was taken over by their sons, cousins Stojan Marelić and Dražen Šain, in 2020. The winery is located in the heart of the island of Korčula, in the picturesque area of Čare known as Sv. Ivan, where there is also a monument of Saint Ivan. With three hectares of vineyards, most of the vines grow on the prestigious micro-location of Čare. The winery focuses exclusively on cultivating the native pošip variety. The annual production is around 25,000 liters, or 33,000 bottles. Their offerings include three exceptional labels: Pošip Sv. Ivan, Pošip Sv. Ivan Selection, and Moro.
