About winery
The Stipe Tomašić Winery, located in Smokvica on the island of Korčula, is a young winery that began modern wine production in 2011. Despite this, the family tradition of viticulture and winemaking spans over 150 years. Stipe Tomašić’s great-grandfather was known as a wine merchant, and the older vineyards in the courtyard of the family home bear witness to a history more than a century old. The winery’s vineyards cover 1.6 hectares across three locations in Smokvica, cultivating Pošip, Rukatac, and Plavac Mali. They produce around 10,000 liters of wine annually and are represented on the market with four labels: two versions of Pošip (premium and quality wine), and one label each for Rukatac and Plavac Mali. The winery also offers wine tastings, blending family tradition with a modern approach to production.
