Vicelić Winery

About winery

The Vicelić family vineyards are located on the Pelješac Peninsula, on steep slopes in the renowned “Dingač” area. The vines are grown at altitudes of up to 550 meters above sea level, where the plants receive plenty of light and warmth. These locations carry a long family tradition of wine production, as their great-grandfather already produced “Dingač” in 1935 on these very plots. With pride, they note that their wine was bottled and exported to Prague in that year. Today, they are determined to revitalize production and have replanted the old vineyard plots. They currently own about 3.5 hectares of vineyards, along with an additional 60,000 m² of land at the same location. The winery operates as a boutique with a current production of 10,000 bottles of the premium “Dingač” wine. Next year, they plan to increase production to 20,000 bottles, maintaining this level in the future. They offer two types of wines on the market – Plavac mali and Dingač, as well as the quality wine Opolo. In 2017, they fully transitioned to organic production.
