Dive into the world of wine at the international food and wine festival WineRi 2024, taking place on March 8th and 9th at the Exportdrvo Congress Center in Rijeka. This festival, open to all visitors from 2 to 8 PM, will gather over 100 exhibitors from across Europe showcasing more than 500 wine labels.
The hosts of the festival, passionate members of the Kvarner Wines Association, will enchant you with the rich wine heritage of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. OPG Ružić, Kapić Winery, OPG Rubeša, and many others will present top-quality wines, highlighting Kvarner as an essential wine destination.
WineRi has risen to become the third most significant wine fair in Croatia this year, thanks to the efforts of the organizers and the dedication of Kvarner winemakers. Miroslav Palinkaš, President of Kvarner Wines, expressed his enthusiasm that Rijeka and Kvarner have been enjoying the event since 2017, which is becoming the epicenter of wine culture in the region. WineRi is gradually evolving into a festival of wines from indigenous varieties of Southeast Europe, and Palinkaš emphasizes his pride in the participation of over 100 wineries with over 500 wine labels this year.
Thanks to the support of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, the City of Rijeka, the Croatian Tourist Board, and other partners, WineRi becomes an unmissable destination for wine and gastronomy enthusiasts. Before the festival itself, the Wine&Co Wine Shop organizes a series of workshops in collaboration with the Kvarner Wines Association, the Kvarner Tourist Board, and the Croatian Sommelier Club. These workshops, such as “Embrace the Glass” and “Why Sommelier?”, herald an exciting wine weekend.
